Pediatric Spinal Rehabilitation Harness
This project was spurred on by Andrea Behrman, PhD, PT, FAPTA. Dr. Behrman is a Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery, University of Louisville, Louisville, KY. Her research focus is to develop and test therapeutic interventions promoting recovery after spinal cord injury in children and adults capitalizing on activity-dependent neuroplasticity and an understanding of the neurobiology of walking and motor control.

We were tasked to explore new geometries and user requirements to produce a lay flat, full body harness tailored to the needs of the pediatric patients. After on site research and concept development, we produced this lightweight, lay flat, fully adjustable concept harness for testing. Fit for children 4-7 years of age.
